Crafty Creations “Happy” October

Hello everyone.

Some times you have a few of your favorite colours left from a project and not sure how to use up the scraps. Well look no further! This technique ticks a lot of boxes:

Quick (although the crafty class didn’t think so)
Colourful
Endless variations
Very little measuring
Cost effective.
Card stock,  DSP,  Washi Tape all can be used.

OK so it’s not by any means an original idea but we loved how they all turned out. crafty-happy-october

Unfortunately the shining and glitter papers don’t show to good effect here but they look great in real life.

The original I sourced from  Jennifer McGuire. Thank you Jennifer.

I did make other choices for the group, but they all chose Happy Christmas, that time of the year I guess.

While the list below may look like a lot of product we only used scraps, cut into random strips and laid randomly or in a sequence on some label paper. Then we used the Hello You Thinlit die to cut the words out, carefully saving the tiny pieces and then glued them back in place.
That was fun keeping track of them and sorting what went where and which way is up!!
The card was finished with a sentiment that was embossed in Copper Embossing powder (Love Love Love it!! ) from Versatile Christmas (retired).
The group went home with the words die cut to make another card with as a bonus.
Hint: You can colour the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer Paper with your inks!!
Cheers, Take care

Irresistible Butterflys

Do you still have some  Irresistibly Yours DSP paper to use? I do, so decided to combined some with my favorite butterflies.

I used So Saffron Ink to sponge the DSP, mounted it on to So Saffron Card Stock then cut three 3¾cm strips from So Saffron Card Stock to go under this which were glued to the Whisper White card stock that was embossed with the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and mounted on to more So Saffron Card Stock. What a sentence still following?

I cut out the Whisper White Card stock on the Big Shot with the Butterflies Thinlit Die and then a finer one in vellum, keeping it intact,  which was then glued under the top one. Gently curved the wings, popped it onto the DSP with sticky dots and attached rhinestones to finish.

The sentiment from Butterfly Basics was stamped in So Saffron then punched with the Scallop Oval and attached with dimensionals.
