The last few days have been all out of wack, to the point where I was about to create a new blog and remembered I hadn’t posted my lovely class ladies wonderful achievements for Friday.
We made a card with a difference and tapped into the current craze for colouring. Stampin ‘ Up! as usual are right on trend and have offered this paper free with any order over $90 AUD. They aptly called it Inside the Lines.
Whilst it may look a simple card, Side Easel Card, we had some fun precisely lining up the little squares.
Whilst it is hard to see in the image there is a trail of Olive Green under the butterflies (Now retired) taken from One Wild Ride. Most of the sentiments were courtesy of Rose from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The original card was an Easter card with sentiment from Suite sentiment.
On the inside we made a space for some words. I plan on something like “Now the Easter Holidays are here just grab yourself some Watercolour pencils and just relax!! ” and a piece for more colouring.
Measurements and tutorial can be found here.
Do you remember these? They were launched a while ago and met with so much success that Stampin’ Up! were unable to meet demands.
Good news is they are back in supply as of Monday 16th January.
Just to demonstrate how quick an effective these little frames can be I have added a card I created with them.
I used the Watercolour Pencils to scribble over some embossed Card Stock. Then coloured with a just damp Aqua Painters then cut the squares, making frames. Simple!

Have been playing with this delightful stamp set but not wanting to repeat what has been on Pinterest. There are some awesome examples of what you can do with the new stamp sets from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues on there but I like to use my creative brain when I can. After all the more I use it the less likely I am to get Alzheimers.
Now what was I talking about?
Oh yes the card below.
She was created by using Paper Piecing, to see how download the tutorial.
Here Beautiful You #9
For any of the Crafty Creation ladies this will be our card for the first day back on the 27th January.
For anyone else who might be living in the Sunshine Coast at Queensland and would like to join us visit the Caloundra Community Centre FaceBook Page for details.
Happy Days Naomi.
Sitting here looking at the streaming sunshine makes these cards just right. Unlike the Northern Hemisphere summer is officially here and what better way to express that summer feeling than with Fresh Fruit, which is also the name of the stamp set used on our Happy Birthday Cards last week.
Whilst I don’t have an image this card had a secret gift card holder inside similar to this one.
To fit an A6 card you will need 1 x 25cm x 14cm or 9¾” x 5½”. Scored at 10cm, 12.5cm, and 15cm or 37/8″ 47/8″ and 57/8″ across the shortest length. Create a mountain fold, and punch a small section from the middle,( Use a window punch, oval, or Decorative Label punch). Glue either side of the cut out, but not across the bottom. Insert into base card.
We used the Stitched Shaped Framelits and of course Pear Pizzaz outlined in Garden Green and Peeekaboo Peach outlined in Calypso Coral.
There was a choice of pears or branches for the background from the crisp, colourful and almost edible Fruit Stand DSP. Love how they have all turned out.
Our break up is Friday the 16th I will post some pics of all the goodies.
Cheers happy Stamping.
No post last week as we didn’t complete our cards. But we managed to get that finished and one more as well. Everyone fell in love with the cute Bambi from some retired Stampin’ Up! DSP.
We did use the Torn Paper Technique to create the snow drifts at Bambi’s feet, then highlighted it with some Dazzling Diamonds sprinkled on Liquid glass. The snowflakes, with the smaller one stamped off, were inked with Tip Top Taupe – a change for me from Crumb Cake – and came from the now retired Endless Wishes. The lovely bold sentiment is from Flurry of Wishes in the current catalogue, stamped in Chocolate Chip. The pine cones and needles are from Peace This Christmas, stamped in Chocolate Chip and Garden Green.
A Wink of Stella, and some pearls finished this card.
Our other card, from the week before, used the Totally Trees Stamp Set, Botanicals For You and The Botanical Builder Thinlits. The Whisper White was embossed with the Petal Burst EF,over laid with a strip of Irresistibly Yours DSP that was coloured in Pool Party. Some masking of the sun and water in Pool Party and Sweet Sugar Plum made the background with the island, leaves and flowers just finishing the scene.
It feels like we were at a Tropical Island, just waiting for the bar tender to bring us some Piña Coladas or Margarita by the waters edge. Ahhhh!
Of course like most people these days some of the inspiration was from Pinterest. Where would be without it?
If you are a dedicated Stampin’ Up! supporter by now you will have increased your stack of DSP by grabbing the deals from last months specials.
So now you need some inspiration to use those papers. Look no further!
We offer you three cards this month using the Serene Scenery Stack together with Christmas.
Of course any papers can be substituted, as can the stamp sets. You can just use the card sketch and measurements to create your own designs.

Speaking of Christmas, just wanted to let you know that we won’t be having any PPP for December, in case you come back looking and wondering where is it? Did I miss out?
I am always contactable for any assistance, should you need it by email. You have every assurance to feel comfortable in knowing that no question is every too small to be asked.
Remember “You never know till you Know!”
I was having a Christmas Card marathon and then my Stampin’ Up! order arrived.
Happy Day! Along with goodies for the girls, I ordered the Stitched from the Heart Framelits., our November Special with %25 off selected stamps as well. I had (as we all do now and then) just made a blob of ink in the wrong place and was Grrrring at myself when inspiration struck.
I grabbed the framelits, some This Christmas DSP and proceeded to mix and match and this is what resulted. I was quiet happy at the rescue and who would know! The stitched impression is right next to the edge and very fine. Matching perfectly with the Layering Circles and Ovals.
Remember it’s not the only way to get a stitched effect. Check out our Technique Treats #10 for Faux Stitching.
“Waste not want not!” my Mother said.
Bye catch you next time.
This months PPP has certainly crept up fast. Do you feel that too, the years nearly gone?
Only 11 weeks left till Christmas. Gee!

We had a happy day Friday and the Crafty ladies created some delightful double pocket cards, using the Irresistibly Floral DSP with swirls of colour here and there. It’s fun to watch the pop of white as you sponge the ink off the Card Stock, then rub the residual die off the card with a tissue and it pops even more!! Great fun!!
These pocket cards are perfect for adding gift cards. Rose turned hers into a Christmas gift card and Julie chose a 21st birthday for guess who, Jessica.
For my card I chose Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Emerald Envy inks and coupled them with the Love and Affection flower from this stamp set. I stamped the flower, then masked it before adding the leaves on to the inside edge of the card as well as the tag.
I like the addition of the Enamel shapes on the tag Einine made, may copy that.!! One lady took some homework home, hope she brings it next week to show us the completed card.
The greeting and banner came from Banners for You stamp set.
Instructions abound on Pinterest but I found this one` for an A6 card.
