Catalogue Inspiration.

My need for quick inspiration is definitely met by the Colorful Seasons Bundle displayed so well on page 146 of the New Annual Catalogue. There are 24 photopolymer stamps with  a total of 17 coordinating  dies a well.  This bundle covers all four seasons with some perfect sentiments. There is so much you can create with this set and I will be showing more cards over the next couple of weeks. Prepare to be surprised.

Making swaps needs quick inspirational cards and this one did fit the bill. My team mates were very happy with their swaps.   I must say that the chairs  I created on their cards matched up better than mine. The person must have been sitting a while and sagged the canvas. Ha! Ha!

I changed the card around a bit using products I had at hand, such as  the dots from the Timeless Textures Stamp set on the top and bottom of the card and no Washi tape.  I also swapped the new  Daffodil delight Double Stitched ribbon in place of the Twine and ribbon.

Do you  love the Copper Foil as much as me? I just love the Copper Foil Sheets that I have used for the leaves which I teamed with the Copper Embossing Powder and the whole card just glows.  What better way to showcase the sentiment:
  LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING.
Life is beautiful CC
My new Project sheet of items used.
Colourful Seasons swap
Thanks Stampin’ Up! for making it so easy. Not need to worry about  who will be happy for me to make their card found on Pinterest. No worry for copyright, thanking others, following blogs, giving creit where credit is due. Just CASE with heart felt blessings from Stampin’ Up!
As always I am happy to answer any questions and look forward to  your comments.
Happy Stamping.

Birthday Balloon

This  card was part of my Swaps for the New  Catalogue and will also double as my class card this week. With so much happening in the Stampin’ Up! World this month it’s good to be able to get value and maximum time for effort expended, whilst at the same time creating beautiful cards and bringing smiles to my happy stampers.

I have a little sheet that is added with the swap which includes all the products used that I have included at the bottom of this blog. One great thing with this card is that the colours can be swapped around really easily. Next week I will show you how the ladies at class have done just that, thanks to the matching of Stampin’ Up! products and the Colour Theory DSP.

Happy Birthday CCThe Happy Birthday template is really easy to use and I have highlighted the bottom half with Wink of Stella but it doesn’t show on the image.  The inspiration for this card, as I explained in a previous blog,  came from the new Catalogue I just changed it about a bit.

Just loving the New Catalogue. Remember you can purchase from my store by clicking on the image and time of night or day, providing you reside in Australia.

Project for Swaps

As  always

Happy Crafting, Stay safe and thanks for stopping bye.

Finally the New Catalogue.

As a demonstrator, the month of May often seems very long as I contain my desires and excitement for the new Products from the Annual Catalogue.  Yes we get to have a play with some of them but not everything is available.

And play I have done. Some in preparation for Our Catalogue Launch with Irma Bradford, some for fun and some with my friend and upline Vicky Wright.

This is one of those created with Vicki who came up with the idea to use the Daisy punch for the skirt on this lady from the Beautiful You Stamp Set.

The petals were punched from the Delightful Daisy DSP. Her Top was colored with Water Coloring pencils but her hat was cut from the DSP and adhered.

The base card is  – one of the new In colors, Tranquil Tide – a delightful soft grey green.

A sprinkling of Rhinstones and the New Glitter Enamel Dots helped to complete the top half of the card.

Again I used the same DSP and added a sentiment from Rose Wonder Stamp Set to complete the bottom.

Daisy Lady

The fold used is called a Dutch Door and is quiet popular at the moment as the top half – where we have our square –  can be any shape and attached to the base card but not all the way across.

Call back as I will add here  a link to a tutorial on Vicky Wrights Blog later.

Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by.

Where has she been?

Well this look insane. I have just deleted a couple of post and whilst I haven’t been here for a long time, it’s not quiet the three months that this looks like.

Why not?

What’s been happening?

Are you OK? are some of the questions asked.

Truth is I just needed a break from the routine/pressure of Blogs, Various Facebook groups,  Instagram, Pinterest, Pic Monkey, etc. the online social life seemed to be having more time than my real face to face life and to be honest it didn’t feel right.

Fortunately due to a wonderful weekend away with my upline at her very peaceful beach side home, with nothing but card creating on our minds I feel a bit recharged.

And how lucky am I. In a couple days the new Catalogue is available to all you lovely people and my downline Irma and I have a Catalogue Launch planned for the 15th June.

I have come to the realisation  during the last couple months, that there is so much  in the catalogue that I just have to use it as my resource for now. No need to scour the pages of Pinterest or the Demonstrators Web Page, or Facebook groups thus getting caught in the time consuming, albeit delightful, search for that inspiration or stunning creation that I must try. The results ….less procrastination, more time and less stress.

So ladies and gentlmen ……..I am well, I have not really been anywhere, I am still 100% a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and my store is still open 24hrs a day.

I would love to hear any comments from those who may at some time have felt the same or similar….. but in the meantime…..

Take Care

and as our new stamp set (Colouful Seasons) says

LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING

Where has the week gone?

Crafty creations was three days ago and it only seems like yesterday that I was posting the card for the week before and now here are another set, well two really.

This week we finally finished off the Pop boxes that were started 4 weeks ago. We would never have been able to make these without the great video from Gemma Clarke .

There are others for POP up Box on YouTube but this is the one I used and credit where credit is due.

pop-box

We used the Carousel Birthday Stamp Set and the matching Cupcakes and Carousel DSP and lots of Very Vanilla CS. Whilst these four ladies were working on these the other two were happily making cards they had missed out on previously. Thank goodness I had a couple of kits left over.

The box folds into the tray at the front then when you draw on the ribbon, the recipient gets a surprise as the box pops out.

The other card for the 3rd march 2017  I have also CASED from Pinterest and it belonged to  Connie Barbara and again there are several versions using the Owl Builder Punch. Some have the owl ears up some have them down both look good, depends on the manufacturer of the guitar!! Image result for guitars

Ours look pretty cool great for teenager or avid music fan. The sentiments were from Crazy about You Stamp Set and the stippled background One Wild Ride. We also colored them with Wink of Stella to get that bit of Rock sparkle.

OK that’s  it off to create this Friday’s card.

Happy Stamping

Technique Treats March 2017

Breezing around the net, looking at weddings, cafe’s sign, and crafty places one thing you see are a lot of are chalk boards and signage. It is on “trend” as they  say and so will you be when you apply this technique to your cards and scrap booking layouts.

How do I do that you ask? Well we are bringing you how to create with the Chalkboard and Shadow Techniques.

We have used the “Carousel BirthdayStamp Set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue. I have posted other cards here, using this versatile stamp but I think these Techniques really compliment the stamps well. The  fun of the carnival in town, before television and the internet exploded our sense, was a much longed for event, well reflected in this stamp set. Nostalgia abounds.  Even my granddaughter has a tiny carousel in her toy collection!

We are consistent in making sure that each step in the card making is photographed and fully described for easy following. With ease of use on our minds for you we have decided to separate the measurements under imperial and metric  headings to make it easier for you to follow in  all the far flung lands.

As always you are invited to use these techniques for class or just for yourself. Everything you need is written down for you. Just supply the paper, inks and stamps and get creating!

Enjoy, there’s no time like the present, get your copy  now!

Happy Creating!   Naomi.

Crafty Creations 24 February 2017

We were lucky enough to have the BIG ROOM  at the Caloundra Community Center for our Crafty Creation again this week. So much better to be able to spread yourselves out!  That’s right ladies!

As a result there was some fast and furious stamping going on. At the end of the session the ladies were well able to say “We Nailed it”

That is the stamp set they used the Nailed It Bundle with the matching dies. The sentiments they chose were Happy Birthday from Rose’s stamps – thanks Rose- Sorry I screwed up! I knew I liked you the first time I saw you! with some Happy Smiles, from the stamp set.

Not having silver sheets of paper we glued Aluminum foil – the kind you use in the oven – onto card stock and used that for the ruler and screws. Works a dream.

The DSP was from Pop of Pink. We used the fantastic Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impression Folder on Basic Grey CS. The effect was achieved by brushing the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad across the side of the folder that doesn’t carry the Sissex name then running through the Big Shot.

Some coloring and assembly of card finished the product.

Oh! the card in the center is waiting for the ideal sentiment that’s at home!!

crafty-creations-nailed-it

That sums up another delightful day.

Hope you like them

Cheers Naomi.

Proud Moment – Daughters 50th

We have just returned from a lovely lunch and now the card is safely in her hands I can let you see it.

It’s 50yrs since her arrival on planet earth and during that time eggs and chooks have featured on many occasions. from being a youngster, collecting eggs to owning her own chooks, not to mention that her Great Grandma was called Googa Nanny. (Googa as in Egg)

So I thought the Hey Chicks was a natural go to and besides they are cute. . I did CASE some help from Bronwyn Eastley’ s tutorial, who  is a bit of  master at these Z fold cards.

Products used include:

Front of card with the Free Sale-A-Bration Hey Chick stamp SetAvant Garden  Stamp set, for the flowers and the Any Occassions Stamp Set which forms the banners. Other details are from Serene Scenery DSP, Gift from the Garden Stamp Set, Scalloped Tag Topper punch, Layering Squares Framelits, Watercolor Pencils, and White Chalk Stampin’ Marker.

The wire fence is the fantastic Hexagon Dynamic Textured EF.

Sale sign, shelf and the Naughty chook in the garden. Note all the front chooks have party hats but the back chooks are running late and not at the party yet.

Hope you have enjoyed this little display. I had great fun fussy cutting it all out.

Of course daughter was delighted!

Happy Creating!

Naomi Connolly.

2nd Release

Some of you are well aware of the second release for Sale-A-Bration but for those that aren’t here’s what they look like.

The first uses Reverse Words, which gives a water colour wash background and an Embossed like image at the front. Several steps in creating beautiful cards all made in one stamp.

background

Make a Medallion is the next one and already there are some lovely cards popping up on Pinterest.

medallion

Lastly we have the glitter paper. Which I have to say is much prettier in real life than on this image. The pink is softer as are the greens and VERY shiny. Perfect for that touch of glimmer luxury. Remember don’t make the mistake I did, and have a frustrating time,  but lay the die on the back of the paper which gets the best results.

That means that now you have a  larger choice, for every $90.00 order you can have one  of 15 products to choose from for FREE.  Shop HERE!

Carousel Birthday 3yr old.

It’s often funny how we can fall in love with a stamp set.

The only reason I purchased this set was because we had decided to use it as our featured stamp set in the March Technique Treats that will feature Chalkboard Techniques.

I would have to admit it wasn’t a “must have” in the catalogue.

And Laugh out Loud I have used it consistently for the last 4 weeks. and to day’s card is just another example.

I have been making cards for this little miss since she was born for a friend and what did she say when her Nan asked her what she wanted for her birthday? Just my card Nanny, just my card.

She has a toy Carousel and lives near the Wheel of Brisbane and loves Cup Cakes. So I think I hit all  the bases. Nan tells me that the big grin and Whee!! was testimony enough.

sightseeing_portrait_360x270px

I stamped the wheel on the Cupcake and Carousel DSP. I stamped the cup cakes, the basket and cloud from the Lift me Up Stamp Set, on Whisper White and coloured them in with the Watercolor Pencils. Then used the Up and Away Thinlit die to cut them out.  The clouds were from the same thinlits. Love how these two compliment one another.

Sentiments inside were stamped in Tuxedo Black as was the horse. I used the Oval Stitched framelits Die after I had coloured the horse and then just gently coloured the edges.

The birthday sentiment was stamped in Blushing Bride.

That’s it for today.

Happy Stamping Naomi
