Have you been reading some negative comments about this stamp set and dies that it’s too difficult? Well we used the Let The Good Times Roll and Thrill Ride Pop Up and our little group proved today that that is so wrong. Everyone managed to complete their card in the 2 hrs allotted.
Mind you I did do a fair amount of prep, stamping and cutting out the cars, balloons, presents, flags and banners. Just as well I did because we had 6 of our regular team, 2 new ladies and one marvelous young man and his carer.
His name was Ben and he was delighted to create the card for his Mum. We even found an “I love you Mum” stamp in the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set. We weren’t able to take a photo of Ben’s card as he became a bit tired and left when he had completed his card. Well done Ben. Hope to see you again.
For the front of the card we used the Lift Me Up stamp set so that half the class could be working on the front of the card and the others on the insert. We tied it in with a air balloon above the roller coaster.
So if today is your day why not have a go yourselves. The children I have given this card too have loved it and the older young at heart as well.
Take care, travel safe till next post

We all have some. Those pieces of DSP that we just pull out and admire and dream of the possibilities. I had one such piece and have seen many posts on Pinterest and Instagram using it beautifully. Still it remained uncut. Still dreaming.
Then I was asked to make a special 70th Birthday card so I relented and here it is. It is retired now but the combination of copper, glimmer and colour have been well combined in the new catalogue with these papers. I just don’t have mine yet!!
My DSP was the Affectionately Yours which is now retired, as is the Love and Affection Stamp Set I used on the inside. Thankfully Beautiful You on the front and the Large Number Framelits are still current.
Remember no question is ever wrong or unwarranted. Ask away.
Crafty creations was three days ago and it only seems like yesterday that I was posting the card for the week before and now here are another set, well two really.
This week we finally finished off the Pop boxes that were started 4 weeks ago. We would never have been able to make these without the great video from Gemma Clarke .
There are others for POP up Box on YouTube but this is the one I used and credit where credit is due.
We used the Carousel Birthday Stamp Set and the matching Cupcakes and Carousel DSP and lots of Very Vanilla CS. Whilst these four ladies were working on these the other two were happily making cards they had missed out on previously. Thank goodness I had a couple of kits left over.
The box folds into the tray at the front then when you draw on the ribbon, the recipient gets a surprise as the box pops out.
The other card for the 3rd march 2017 I have also CASED from Pinterest and it belonged to Connie Barbara and again there are several versions using the Owl Builder Punch. Some have the owl ears up some have them down both look good, depends on the manufacturer of the guitar!!
Ours look pretty cool great for teenager or avid music fan. The sentiments were from Crazy about You Stamp Set and the stippled background One Wild Ride. We also colored them with Wink of Stella to get that bit of Rock sparkle.
OK that’s it off to create this Friday’s card.
We have just returned from a lovely lunch and now the card is safely in her hands I can let you see it.
It’s 50yrs since her arrival on planet earth and during that time eggs and chooks have featured on many occasions. from being a youngster, collecting eggs to owning her own chooks, not to mention that her Great Grandma was called Googa Nanny. (Googa as in Egg)
So I thought the Hey Chicks was a natural go to and besides they are cute. . I did CASE some help from Bronwyn Eastley’ s tutorial, who is a bit of master at these Z fold cards.
Products used include:
Front of card with the Free Sale-A-Bration Hey Chick stamp Set, Avant Garden Stamp set, for the flowers and the Any Occassions Stamp Set which forms the banners. Other details are from Serene Scenery DSP, Gift from the Garden Stamp Set, Scalloped Tag Topper punch, Layering Squares Framelits, Watercolor Pencils, and White Chalk Stampin’ Marker.
The wire fence is the fantastic Hexagon Dynamic Textured EF.
Front of card standing.
Details of pockets, we wrote on each of the cards.
Sale sign, shelf and the Naughty chook in the garden. Note all the front chooks have party hats but the back chooks are running late and not at the party yet.
Shelf and potplants
Sign with Framelits
Hope you have enjoyed this little display. I had great fun fussy cutting it all out.
Of course daughter was delighted!
We had a happy day Friday and the Crafty ladies created some delightful double pocket cards, using the Irresistibly Floral DSP with swirls of colour here and there. It’s fun to watch the pop of white as you sponge the ink off the Card Stock, then rub the residual die off the card with a tissue and it pops even more!! Great fun!!
These pocket cards are perfect for adding gift cards. Rose turned hers into a Christmas gift card and Julie chose a 21st birthday for guess who, Jessica.
For my card I chose Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Emerald Envy inks and coupled them with the Love and Affection flower from this stamp set. I stamped the flower, then masked it before adding the leaves on to the inside edge of the card as well as the tag.
I like the addition of the Enamel shapes on the tag Einine made, may copy that.!! One lady took some homework home, hope she brings it next week to show us the completed card.
The greeting and banner came from Banners for You stamp set.
Instructions abound on Pinterest but I found this one` for an A6 card.
