Teddy Time.

This little fella has been lingering in my stamping supplies for a while now and as there are no new babies on the way I had wondered when he would get some use. Then Elijah turned one and YES! I know what I can do.

elijahs-teddy

He is filled with Love is Baby Bear. From the Falling Petals (very like little hearts) embossing folder to his Dapper Denim Heart of love at the front.

Teddy was  first stamped with Soft Suede, then I stamped off with  Early Espresso and finally just Early Espresso.

I must say it took me a couple practices to line him but am very happy with final results. His bow is a two step with Soft Sky followed by Dapper Denim.

The sentiment LOOK WHO’S TURNING, stamped in Emerald Envy is from  the Number of Years stamp set, as is the number 1, which was stamped in Dapper Denim and cut out with the Large Number Framelit Dies.

The circle was cut with the large Stitched framelit Die. That way I get to use the circle on another project. Just located the name of the DSP — Blooms and Bliss.

The heart was from the snowflake Card thinlit die, now retired. Behind the heart is some Gold Metal thread. Apart from my Teddy practice this was a quick  and simple card.

Hope you enjoyed him.

PS : This is really a post for my upline who gave me a challenge to post to some of the social media sites so always up for a challenge and here it is.!!

Cheers.

A Little Nest.

So much to do and so little time, so a quick post hoping that you have all had a safe and Happy Christmas.  Crafty Creations  are on holidays but just to keep in touch and keep your creative juices flowing I’m sharing this little toddlers card.

Can you identify which stamp set the little nest is from? How many guessed the Swirly Birds Set. Well done you!

The papers are Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo. Inks used Blushing Bride, and Flirty Flamingo and Basic Grey for the nest.2nd-birthday

The embossed background used  the Seaside EF, a versatile folder, not just for sea themed cards!!   Love the Layering Oval Dies, makes framing so quick and easy. The sentiment was from a free retired Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, Party Pants. Getting these free stamps sets is a quick way to build up your supply. You are all so lucky to be able to do that soon.

Number 2 is a Large Number Framelit and the little suit Something for Baby SS and Baby’s First Framelits. All topped off by some flowers using the Blooming Heart Thinlits and dotted with some black pearls.

Get ready for the NEW YEAR.

I am, lots of organising and sorting so can have a super year.  Cheers Naomi

Swirly Baptism

We don’t have any Crafty Creations this week so I’m sharing a card I made a couple of weeks ago. A friend asked me to make a Baptism card for their young granddaughter, no longer a baby.christening

I did look at Pinterest for inspiration  and came across a similar item.

So I have taken the liberty to CASE her design with a couple of differences. I chose Pink Pirouette  and Whisper White as my main CS.

I used the Banner Framelits and placed over them some Vellum from Retired Sheer perfection Stack.

The cross was from the retired Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio, Crosses of Hope.  Sad we don’t have it but I can still use all the images.

I embossed the circle with Happy Heart EF.  You  can see the Swirly Scribbles behind the flowers, such a versatile little thinlit. . My leaves are from the Retired Bird Punch and the flowers The Botanical Builder Framelits.

Finished off with Wink of Stella on the cross and oval and Candy Dots in the heart of the flowers.

I did include her name across the bottom of the card but have left it out for privacy reasons.

Below you will find both the current and retired items.  They are included in the showcase in case you need to identify them for your own use, from your stash.  Sadly they are not able to be purchased from my store.

I was very happy with this card as were the parents and grandparents.

Enjoy, Naomi.

Baby Love

Babies can bring boundless joy and wakeful hours but when they arrive a month early and all there tiny baby bits are perfect it’s certainly time for extra love.

So it was with great joy after an anxious 24 hrs that I created this card for a friend. I was so happy with it I made two more!!

On Whisper White Card stock I used Smokey Slate for the Banner and greeting with the Thoughtful Banners Stamp and Punch.

Again on Whisper White CS for the ground I chose Smokey Slate using the stamp from the Sheltering Tree . . The flowers were  from the same stamp set in Melon Mambo with stems  in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I again used Melon Mambo for the hearts from The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamps and highlighted the largest one with Itty Bitty Epoxy stickers – retired now.

After that it was just a case of stamping the prams from Something for Baby in Blushing Bride, Flirty Flaming and Watermelon Wonder, two of the new In Colours. The matching Baby’s First Framelits die made cutting out easy. Then I popped up the Banner and pram with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I stamped the inside, see next blog.

Congrats Sweet Sugar Plum

Your turn now.

Enjoy  Naomi.

Baby’s two.

Baby cards are always a delight to create and this little fella was no exception.

What better way to express the love that a baby generates than with the Embossing folder Happy Hearts. It was perfect to start with. I adhered it to the Whisper White base card. I then created a frame using a rectangular die  and rounded the corners with the Envelope Board in Tempting Turquoise

The little romper suit was cut from Birthday Bash Occasions 2015 (retired) DSP Paper using the Baby’s First Framelits and the tie added in coordinating Tempting Turquoise Card Stock.

I grabbed the some letters  I have and created the sentiment and cut with the Bitty Banners Die. My little ducky was stamped in Daffodil Delight then die cut with the Baby’s First Framelits. I popped the frame and the romper suit up on Dimensionals added three pearls to the side  and one on the tie. Adhereing one small duck on the front completed the card.

Some products are still available if you wish to recreate a similar card. One of the great things about Stampin’ Up! are the bundles that they offer and these two come in a bundle so you save! save! save!  Happy Stamping!

Punchy Giraffe

Just a quick post today.

When I saw this on Pinterest then on Vicky’s blog I knew one day  I would have to make it.

The time has come and the lucky recipient of my labors is a friends 2 yr old. Delightful Isabella.

Giraffe Closed

I haven’t made a tutorial for this one. But if you need any help just drop me an email – details in Contacts.

Stamp sets used are Wetlands,  Sky’s the Limit,  Teeny Tiny Sentiments (R) Balloon Celebration.

Punches were circles from Owl Punch and Cup Cake Punch. Large and small Ovals, Ears from Botanical Builder (Leaves) tail, the coat hanger from Baby’s First Framelits and Antennae (not sure what the correct term is for a giraffe) the Snowflake die.

Colours are Mint Macaroon, Rose Red, Smokey Slate and Pink Pirouette.

Here she is in all her glory.

Hope you have as much fun as I did when you give this one a go. Bye for today.

Baby Chicken

Honeycomb Happiness

Just had 0ne of my customers ask for a baby card quick! I had just been colouring this little fella for an Easter Card but quickly converted him for a baby. I think he worked OK.

This card, like many of this customer’s, have pockets inside, for cash, gift certificates, gift cards or checks,  so have included that in the tutorial.

The DSP is from a retired set but I’m sure you clever people can find a suitable background in your stash.

Tutorial here. Baby chicken

Special Baby

Friends and Flowers
A Little Miracle.

I was asked by a lady near where I live if I could make a card for her niece who has a premmie baby still in hospital. The wee one was born a month ago and while everything is looking good it is still a stressful time for all the family.  Because I loved what Judith Ritter-Österle has done with the Friends and Flowers stamp set this little card sprang to mind.

It’s a compilation of what I had at hand, some retired, some new products, some not Stampin’ Up!.  The lady was delighted and really that’s all that matters.

The Whisper White base  (21cm x 15cm or 8¼ x 57/8)  folded in half. The  Pacific Point CS (10cm x 14cm or 4″ x 51/2 ) was embossed with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder then glued to base.

I stamped the petals and baby onto some Whisper White scraps, punched out with matching Festive Flower Builder Punch and coloured in the baby. They were arranged and attached to the frame from Spellbinders Decorative Die Frame one, with sticky dots.  Pretty but not one of ours. Then glued to base.

I reverted to the Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio Miracle Baby(retired) for the sentiment from A Word for You. After printing I used the frame from Chalk Talk Framelits    which was created by running it through the big shot half way, flipping the frame, inserting back into the cut section and cutting the other half.

Inside was this sentiment I had…. just right for this little fighter.

Enjoy.

PS Just heard news am a grandmother again, number 9 so another baby card soon.
