This card was a request, by the group, to try a reflection technique. Immediatley the “Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set came to mind.
One of the things with community groups is that there are always new members and others moving on so whilst some had used this technique for half it was new and the others happy to have a refresher.
We used Dapper Denim ink and card stock for the predominant colour, and created the image on Very Vanilla CS. After using the window sheet to transfer the image below the trees we then over stamped the top trees in Crushed Curry, to create Autumn tones and shadows. . Whilst waiting for the ink to be perfectly dry the greeting on a torn piece of vellum was stamped with Stazon.
The accents I created for the ladies before hand by punching out tiny dots from Dapper Denim then filling them with our retired Glossy Accents – called liquid glass in other products.
Then the sponging began. We used Old Olive, Dapper Denim, Soft Sky and Smokey Slate. The water was completed with the waves from High Tide and the sky with the birds from the same set. Add the sentiment, a touch of Wink of Stella on the water and all done. For a first attempt I think they have all turned out rather well.

As usual not a full crew but just as well with all the cutting and drying needed. In Whisper White:- 1 large Flower, 3 Branches, 3 Small flowers, 3 Medium flowers, 2 Autumn leaves. In Basic Black:- 2 Autumn Leaves, all from the Seasonal layers Thinlit Dies. The largest flower is from the retired Botanical Builder but I will still be using it for a long time, that’s for sure.
my colour codes in one place. I don’t know about you but I had them everywhere & was sick of trying to find them when required. I must say a big thank you to those lovely people who do the codes each year & share, share & share. They are so very helpful. Your work never goes unappreciative.
